Rotary Club of Calcutta North East celebrates its 24th installation meeting on 18th June, 2009. The club appeared on the RI Map twenty four years ago under the able leadership of the chartered President late Rtn. D. P. Chatterjee. Slowly but steadily the club grew up, nourished and cared by able leaders. The club takes pride in recognizing the outstanding contributions and efforts of its dedicated members. The RC Calcutta North East is a well knit Rotary family sharing and caring for each other.
The Club has established itself in working for the community through four avenues of service. The Club which first saw its light in the Rotary world, is now cascading its luminous glow in the Rotary scenario of District 3291. The Club has received numerous citations and awards for its various activities. At this moment when we rejoice on an occasion like this (installation ceremony), we cannot but forget our founding father R. C. East Calcutta whose help and guidance in our initial stages has seen us through. We pay respect to all our revered leaders of the club who had helped and guided us. May their guidance instill rays of hope and courage in the future leaders of the Club. We R. C. Calcutta North Easters hope and pray that the days ahead will be all sunshine. We shall in every spirit and letter uphold the Rotary spirit of service.
